Denise Kent

Denise Moscardelli Kent founded the Dance Magnet Program at NSCHS in 1996. She is an Atlanta native training at studios such as Rotaru International Ballet, The Dancers Studio, Atlanta Ballet and Terpsichore Dance Expressions. She received her degree in Dance Performance and Choreography and is certified in Dance Education from UGA. She danced with Bala Sarasvati’s dance company CORE in the 1996 Olympics and American College Dance Festival gala. Her additional studies include the Jose Limon Institute, Alvin Ailey School, Pilobolus and First Light Dance Theatre. Her interests in cultural dance lead her to Bali, Indonesia where she studied traditional Balinese dance. Ms. Kent owned The Company-Center for Dance Arts, creating nonprofit dance education programs in both Tennessee and Kentucky. She enjoys being part of the NS Visual and Performing Arts Magnet, choreographing The Wizard of Oz, Miss Saigon and Hairspray to name a few.
